Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will address Grand Finale of the world’s largest-ever online hackathon- Smart India Hackathon 2020- on August 1, 2020. The Human Resource Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said, on July 28, 2020.
The HRD minister chaired a high-level meeting to give final shape to the plan for the finale of the hackathon event scheduled from August 1-3.
Smart India Hackathon is an enterprise to identify new and disruptive digital technology innovations for solving the challenges confronted by our nation.

The meeting was attended by Secretary, Higher Education, Amit Khare, Chairman AICTE, Anil Sahasrabudhe, Additional Secretary, MHRD, Rakesh Ranjan and Chief Innovation Officer, MHRD Abhay Jere.
During the grand finale, over 10,000 students will strive to solve 243 problem statements from government departments and industries.
