No Additional Charges To Pay For Boarding Pass

There is good news for those who travel by air. Now passengers will not have to pay any additional charges for collecting the boarding pass at the airport check-in counters.

Airlines can no longer charge any additional amount for issuance of boarding passes at airports. The Ministry of Civil Aviation has given this information on Thursday. Currently, airlines charge an additional Rs 200 for issuance of boarding passes for non-web check-in.

The country’s largest airline Indigo also charges passengers an additional fee for boarding passes at the airport check-in counters.

The ministry has also made a tweet. The tweet said, “It has come to the notice of Ministry of Civil Aviation that airlines are charging additional charges for issuance of boarding passes to passengers. This is not justified under the directions issued in accordance with the provisions of the Aviation Rules, 1937. “

In the last one month, there have been many cases of technical glitches in the flights of Indian airlines. On Wednesday, the wind shield of a Go First aircraft was cracked. Go First flights have seen several technical glitches in the recent past. Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also held several meetings with airlines, officials of his ministry and DGCA officials on the issue of ensuring safe air travel. The DGCA had told on Monday that its officers reached the spot and investigated. It found that the number of engineers who certify aircraft of different companies before flight is insufficient.
