North India To Get Relief From Scorching Heat

The Western Disturbance has given relief to the people of North India who are battling the scorching heat. The effect of Western Disturbance, which has been active since Monday, is still continuing. Due to which there is thunderstorm and rain somewhere and snowfall is being seen. The Meteorological Department says that for the next 5 days, people are going to have similar relief from heat wave and scorching heat.

According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of light clouds and thunderstorms at isolated places for the whole week. During this the day’s maximum temperature will remain below 40 degree Celsius. Also, there is no possibility of heat wave conditions in any part of the country during the next 5 days.

IMD has predicted that Jammu and Kashmir will remain cloudy for the next 24 hours. During this, there may be snowfall in some higher areas and heavy rain in lower places. Due to this change in weather, a temporary atmosphere of cold can return there.

In Uttarakhand the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert regarding heavy rain in Kumaon and strong thunderstorms in the plains.

The Meteorological Department (IMD) says that the areas around Gangotri, Yamunotri and Uttarkashi are cloudy. It may rain with strong winds in these areas.

Snowfall may also occur in some high altitude areas. Light cloudy sky and wind has been predicted in Delhi-NCR. Due to this the weather of this area will remain pleasant and people will not suffer much heat.
