Odisha Train Accident: Days after the massive train accident in Odisha’s Balsore, Odisha Police has warned people spreading communal disharmony . Police has urged people to avoid sharing insensitive posts on Social Media. Odisha Police said that anyone caught indulging in these activities will be strictly punished under the law. Odisha Cops tweeted saying Some Social Media handles are mischievously giving communal colour to the Odisha train tragedy at Balasore. This is highly unfortunate. We appeal to all the concerned to resist from circulating such insensitive posts. The Police statement comes days after many Social Media messages linked a structure near accident site with a community. Though nobody has been booked so far for the Social Media Post. Earlier Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that Railway Board has decided to recommend CBI probe into the accident.

Indian Railways seek probe into crash


Meanwhile other investigations have revealed that a signal was given to the Coromandel Express to enter the main line but it was taken off and the train entered the loop line and got crashed into the Goods train parked there. Atleast 280 people have died ond over 1100 injured after two passenger trains and a freight train collided with one another in Odisha’s Balasore district on Friday.

Hunt for the missing underway

The collision has been described as the India’s worst rail accident. Some families are still searching for their loved ones. Prime Minister Narendra Modi vows punishment over the deadly accident. More than 3000 passengers have been travelling when the accident occurred. Hundreds of rescue workers, ambulances and doctors were rushed to the accident site to provide medical aide to the victims and to pull out bodies, Some passengers are still missing . Opposition leaders are asking Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav to take moral responsibility and resign.
