The Corona curfew has been extended once again in UP. This time, restrictions have been imposed till 7 am on 31 May. A spokesperson for the UP government said that partial corona curfew results are positive in the control of corona infection. There is also a lot of support from the people of the state.

Active cases are steadily decreasing. Essential mandatory services like vaccination, industrial activities, medical work etc, can be open. Detailed guidelines in this regard will be released soon.

Uttar Pradesh Additional Chief Secretary Information Navneet Sehgal said that “The UP government has decided to extend the partial ‘corona curfew’ till 7 am on May 31. During this period, essential services like vaccination, industrial activities, medical work will continue uninterrupted.

Earlier, on May 15, a cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took several important decisions including extension of partial corona curfew to seven o’clock in the morning of Monday, May 24. In Uttar Pradesh, partial corona curfew has been continuously extended since May 5. Earlier, the government had announced partial corona curfew for Saturday and Sunday and later on Friday night from eight o’clock to seven o’clock in the morning. In a statement issued by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, it has been said that the Government of Uttar Pradesh is committed to safeguarding the life and livelihood of the people of the state. It is in this spirit that we have adopted a partial corona curfew policy in this second wave of Covid.

In Uttar Pradesh, 226 more patients died due to corona virus infection on Saturday, while 6,046 new cases of infection have been reported. Additional Chief Secretary of Health Department Amit Mohan Prasad told reporters on Saturday that there has been a significant decrease in cases of infection. He said that on April 24, the state had the highest number of 38,055 cases and compared to that today only 6,046 cases were registered, which is 84.02 percent less .
