Online Registration for Char Dham Yatra 2026 to Begin from March 6

For those who do not have Aadhaar cards, the government will also provide offline registration facilities similar to previous years.

The registration process for the Char Dham Yatra 2026 will begin on Friday, March 6, as the Uttarakhand government intensifies preparations for the annual pilgrimage. Devotees will be able to register online starting at 7 a.m., according to officials.

The state government has once again implemented an online registration system to ensure better management of pilgrims and to make the journey more convenient and organized. Devotees can complete their registration through the official portal as well as the Tourist Care Uttarakhand, which has been launched to provide easier access to travel-related services.

Char Dham Yatra 2026: Temple opening dates announced

The portals of the four Himalayan shrines are scheduled to open in April this year. The temples of Yamunotri Temple and Gangotri Temple will open on April 19.

The doors of Kedarnath Temple will open on April 22, while Badrinath Temple will open for devotees on April 23. The opening date of Hemkund Sahib has not yet been officially announced.

Registration process for pilgrims

Indian pilgrims can register for the yatra using their Aadhaar card, while foreign devotees will be able to register through their email IDs. For those who do not have Aadhaar cards, the government will also provide offline registration facilities similar to previous years.

Offline registration from April 17

Offline registration for the pilgrimage will begin on April 17. Special registration centres will be set up in Haridwar and Dehradun to facilitate devotees.

The designated centres will include the Yatra Registration Centre and Transit Camp in Rishikesh, Rishikul Ground in Haridwar, and another centre in Vikasnagar in Dehradun district.

24-hour helpline for assistance

To assist pilgrims, the Uttarakhand Tourism Department has set up a 24-hour call centre. Devotees can seek information related to the pilgrimage by calling the toll-free helpline number 0135-1364.

The state government has appealed to all devotees to complete the mandatory registration before starting the pilgrimage. Officials said that advance registration will help authorities manage crowds and ensure smooth arrangements along the Char Dham travel routes.
