Where Pakistan is celebrating today as Independence Day. At the same time, India is celebrating this day as ‘Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day’. The day of 14 August 1947 cannot be forgotten. On that day, where India was getting independence after 200 years of British slavery, India was going to be divided into two pieces.

The story of the separation of India and Pakistan was painful. Many homes were left, many people were broken, many lost in the crowd, many lost their life in that tragedy.

The story of Pakistan’s emergence as a separate country is heart-wrenching. For Pakistan, the day of 14 August became the history of independence. Whereas for India this day was not less than any horror. India celebrates this day as ‘Partition Vibhishika Memorial Day’.

On the occasion of Partition Commemoration Day, PM Modi remembered and paid tribute to all those who lost their lives during Partition.
