US Visit: PM gets grand White House welcome

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the White House on a state visit to America. President Joe Biden and US First Lady Jill Biden warmly welcomed PM Modi. After this, Biden gave a welcome speech, meanwhile the people of Indian origin present there raised slogans of Modi-Modi.

US President Joe Biden said to PM Modi - 'I am honored to host you here on a state visit.'

"Welcome to you again Prime Minister..I have always believed that the relationship between the United States and India is one of the most important relationships of the 21st century."

Biden said, "Two great nations, two great powers, two great friends can together define the direction of the 21st century."

Biden said, "The first words of our constitution are that 'we, the citizens of the country, have an enduring relationship between our people and shared values and our shared responsibility as global leaders to deal with current issues'."

Biden told PM Modi that with your cooperation, we have strengthened the Quad for a free, open, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific.

Joe Biden said that decades from now, people will look back and say that the Quad changed the course of history for the global good.

He said that India and the US are working closely on health care, climate change and issues arising out of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Biden said that the decisions we take today will determine the future of generations to come.
