Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday spoke to regional officials of Corona virus affected states and districts amid growing infection of Coronavirus in the country.
During this time, PM Modi gave some suggestions to 46 district officials of 9 states of the country to deal with the Covid-19 Pandemic and also listened to their experience.
Interacting with District Magistrates, PM Narendra Modi said, ‘As many districts are there in our country, there are different challenges as well. You understand the challenges of your district very well. So when your district wins, the country wins. Your district beats Corona, then the country defeats Corona.’
PM Modi, while addressing the district magistrates, gave information about the three biggest weapons against the coronavirus.
He said, ‘What are our weapons against this virus? Our weapons are – Local Containment Zone, Aggressive Testing and giving correct information to the people.
He further said, ‘How many beds are available in the hospital, where are they available? When this information is easily available, people’s convenience increases. In the same way, black market should be controlled. ‘
The Prime Minister said to the District Magistrates, ‘Black marketing should be curbed, strict action should be taken against those who do so. Keeping the morale of the front line workers high and mobilizing them, your efforts strengthen the entire district.’
PM Modi said, ‘Our responsibility is also to prevent the infection from spreading. This is possible only when we have the right knowledge of the scale of the transition. It is important to constantly stress on testing, tracking, treatment and proper behavior against Covid’.
The Prime Minister said, ‘Apart from Covid, you also have to take care of’ Ease of Living ‘of every citizen of your district. We also have to prevent infection and the essential supplies related to daily life must also be run unhindered.
He further said, ‘In this second wave of Corona, we still have to pay a lot of attention in rural and inaccessible areas. In this, your experience spent in the field and your skill will be very useful. We have to increase awareness in every village and also connect them with better treatment facilities.’
PM Modi said, ‘Vaccination is a powerful means of fighting Covid, so we have to remove all the confusion related to it. Constant efforts are being made to increase the supply of Corona vaccine on a very large scale.
He further said, ‘It is also necessary to ensure that everything is supplied in the districts with medical as well. You have to underline your needs quickly, manage them. The challenge is certainly big, but our spirits are bigger than that”.
Officials from Karnataka, Bihar, Assam, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi participated in this discussions with Prime Minister Modi.
