Developed at a cost of around ₹480 crore, the new terminal has been constructed over an area of more than 23,000 square metres. According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the facility has been designed to handle up to 20 lakh passengers annually, significantly enhancing the airport’s operational capacity.

The terminal’s architecture draws inspiration from Rajasthan’s royal heritage, blending traditional design elements such as arches and jharokhas with modern infrastructure. The design aims to showcase the state’s rich cultural identity while providing passengers with contemporary airport amenities.

The upgraded terminal is expected to improve the overall travel experience by offering modern passenger facilities, streamlined operations, and enhanced comfort. It is also expected to support the growing demand for air travel in the region and strengthen connectivity between Jodhpur and other parts of the country.

The project forms part of the Centre’s broader efforts to modernise airport infrastructure across India, improve regional connectivity, and promote tourism, trade, and economic development through enhanced aviation facilities.
