AAP claims police raided its Ahmedabad office

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that the Gujarat Police has raided its Ahmedabad office. The party also said that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has been “baffled” by the “huge support” that AAP is getting in the state in view of the Gujarat assembly elections.

The leader of AAP’s Gujarat unit tweeted that the party office was raided as soon as Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal reached Ahmedabad.

Giving an explanation of the developments, Kejriwal said the Gujarat Police did not find anything in the party office as AAP leaders and workers are “very honest”. There was no immediate reaction from the Gujarat Police on AAP’s claim.

Kejriwal tweeted, “BJP is deeply shocked by the immense support it is getting from the people of Gujarat. There is a storm in Gujarat’s in favor of AAP. Earlier nothing was found in Delhi, now nothing was found in Gujarat also. We are very honest and patriotic people.”

Arvind Kejriwal made this tweet while retweeting Isudan Gadhvi’s tweet, in which he wrote, “Gujarat Police raid on Aam Aadmi Party’s Ahmedabad office as soon as Kejriwal ji reaches Ahmedabad. Searched for two hours. Nothing found. They said they will come again.”

It is worth mentioning that assembly elections are to be held in Gujarat at the end of this year. Gujarat has 182 assembly seats.
