Congress general secretary Harish Rawat on Thursday indicated that the ongoing tussle in the party's Punjab unit would end soon, saying a formula to resolve the crisis would come out soon and Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and former minister Navjot Singh Sidhu would work together. In order to resolve the discord in the party, the Congress high command had constituted a three-member committee under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge.

This committee took the opinion of more than 100 leaders of Punjab Congress including the Chief Minister and then submitted its report to the high command. Recently, Amarinder Singh met Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Sidhu also met former party president Rahul Gandhi.
