Before the Lok Sabha elections, the opposition parties involved in forming a grand alliance against the BJP went on for two days in Bengaluru. It was decided in this meeting that the name of the opposition alliance would be India. Which would mean – Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. After this meeting, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi targeted PM Modi.
He said on Tuesday (July 18) that this alliance is with the country. For whom is the fight, who is being attacked, who is being attacked? On the country’s constitution, people, institution, democracy. This is India vs Modi. Even in the meeting of the opposition, many leaders targeted the BJP and said in one voice that the purpose of the meeting in Bengaluru is to save the country, democracy and the constitution.
Opposition parties meeting in Bengaluru
In order to give a tough challenge to the BJP and Prime Minister Modi in the next Lok Sabha elections, 26 opposition parties held their second meeting in Bengaluru. Earlier on June 23, the first meeting was held in Patna. During this, many issues like election strategy, name of alliance, seat sharing were discussed.
Name given to Grand Alliance
After this meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that together with all the 26 parties, we have named this alliance as Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA). Everyone has agreed on this name.
Mallikarjun Kharge said that everyone is with saving the country. The next meeting of the opposition will be held in Mumbai, the date will be announced soon. An 11-member coordination committee will be constituted. The names of the committee members will be announced in Mumbai.
Targeting the NDA meeting, Kharge said that the NDA is holding a meeting with 30 parties. I have not heard of so many parties in India. Earlier they did not hold any meeting, but now they are holding one by one (with NDA parties). PM Modi is now scared of opposition parties. We have gathered here to save democracy and constitution.
