Amarinder Singh’s Press Conference: Former CM will contest elections with new party

Former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh will contest the next assembly elections along with the new party. However, on Wednesday also he did not announce the name of the party. The name of the party will also be announced soon, the Captain said. In the press conference held in Chandigarh, the former CM said that the promises he made were fulfilled. Justifying the decision to increase BSF’s jurisdiction, the Captain said that the security of Punjab was of paramount importance to him. Punjab has seen terrorism.

After interacting with the media, the former Chief Minister will leave for Delhi today. In Delhi, along with the Union Ministers, will meet the veteran leaders of BJP. According to sources, the Captain will also hold a meeting with angry Congress leaders there.

Captain’s close MP Jasbir Singh Dimpa had tweeted, in which he indicated that the name of Captain’s new party would include the name of Congress. Just as Mamata Banerjee has formed the Trinamool Congress and Sharad Pawar has formed the Nationalist Congress party, so the Captain will also include the word Congress in the name of his party. It is being told that on the occasion of the formation of the new party, more than 10 Congress MLAs will also share the stage with Captain, which may also include his wife MP Preneet Kaur.

Earlier, in a tweet, former Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh said that now resorting to threatening and harassing my supporters in Patiala and other places. I want to tell my opponents that they cannot beat me with such a low level political game. Such steps will neither win votes nor hearts of the people. He has said that he is not afraid of such acts.
