Amit Shah Says PM Modi Is Not Dictatorial, The Allegations Are Baseless

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has all the allegations are baseless of Prime Minister Narendra Modi being autocratic or dictatorial.

In response to a question during an interview to the state-run Parliament TV channel, he said, “All these people who are accusing us, all these allegations are baseless. I have not seen any listener like Modi ji. If there is a meeting for any problem, Modi ji talks less and patiently listens to everyone and then takes a decision. We often think that what do they think after all? He takes decisions patiently after 2-3 meetings.”

Shah said, “Every person’s suggestion is given importance to him by PM Modi on the basis of his quality and not on the basis of who that person is. Therefore, to say that he imposes his decisions as PM, Not true at all. Whoever has worked with him, even the critics will agree that the cabinet has never worked in such a democratic way before.”

Both PM Modi and Amit Shah are from Gujarat and both have worked together in the BJP and its ideological organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) since the early days. Considered to be the Prime Minister’s closest confidant and strategist, Amit Shah has held key portfolios in the Gujarat government during the tenure of Narendra Modi as the Chief Minister.

Amit Shah defended PM Modi on farmers’ protest saying that farmers’ concerns over agriculture laws introduced last year are baseless as BJP government has taken big steps to help growers through it.

He said, “Overall 11 crore farmers are getting ₹6,000 annually ₹1.5 lakh crore has been given to farmers within a year. Some time back the UPA government waived off a loan of ₹60,000 crore. ₹60,000 crore came back in the bank but the farmers got nothing but under BJP rule this amount of Rs 1.5 lakh crore is going directly to the farmers, and it does not include any bank loan.
