Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national media in-charge Anurag Dhanda has intensified his criticism over the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case, citing recent media reports and social media posts that have triggered political debate.
Anurag Dhanda cites media reports to question handling of Ram Temple
In a post on X, Dhanda referred to comments made by journalist Chitra Tripathi, who said that several people familiar with Champat Rai had described him as an honest person and suggested that the findings of the ongoing SIT probe should be awaited. Responding to those remarks, Dhanda alleged that if Champat Rai was personally honest, the alleged stolen money may have been passed on to others rather than misappropriated by him. He did not provide evidence to support the claim.
Dhanda further claimed that the latest developments appeared to raise questions
Dhanda further claimed that the latest developments appeared to raise questions about the handling of the alleged donation theft case. He also alleged that the investigation was being confined to lower-level employees, adding that this was increasing doubts among sections of the public. These are political allegations made by the AAP leader.
The remarks come amid continuing controversy over reports of an alleged theft involving offerings at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Authorities have not publicly confirmed the allegations made by Dhanda, and the investigation into the matter is ongoing.
No official findings have been released establishing wrongdoing by Champat Rai or any senior functionary in connection with the case. The outcome of the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probe is awaited.
