Bharat Jodo Yatra enters Karnataka

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has entered Karnataka via Gundlupet in Chamarajanagar district on the border of Kerala on the 21st day of the Bharat Jodo Yatra. The Congress’s journey in Karnataka has to cover a distance of about 511 km in 21 days.

Congress leaders hope that this yatra will give new energy to party workers in Karnataka, where assembly elections are due next year.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi will join the yatra on different occasions in the state. However, the date for this has not been announced yet.

Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra has covered a distance of 532 km so far. The journey started today from Ooty-Calicut Junction in Chamarajanagar.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra started on 7 September from Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu. Friday was the last day of the yatra in Kerala. Congress has yet to cover a distance of 3,038 km in this journey.
