BJP all set to woo, consolidate Dalit votes; to launch ‘Ghar Ghar Jodo’ campaign on Ambedkar Jayanti

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to launch mega campaign called ‘Ghar Ghar Jodo’ to woo and consolidate Dalits and Schedule Castes communities. The campaign will be run from April 14 (Ambedkar Jayanti) to May 5 (Budh Jayanti).

On Ambedkar Jayanti BJP will roll out Dalit Outreach Initiatives

The campaign will educate and create awareness among Dalit families about the benefits of the government programs. To mark the end of the campaign, a large event will be held at Delhi’s Talkatora stadium , which according to sources the PM Modi might address.

Union Minister Ramdas Athawale Slams Congress

The event announcement comes after a day after Union Minister Ramdas Athawale stated that Prime Minister Modi’s National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would be able to win more than 350 of 543 seats. He also further cited the BSP’s downfall under Mayawati,

“Welfare works are being undertaken for all sections of society, including Dalits, backwards, and Muslims, under the Modi government at the national level and the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh… Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the architect of India’s Constitution, envisioned an all-inclusive society in India, which is now becoming a reality under the Modi government,”

Athawale has also came down heavily on Congress Party and called Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra as ‘insignificant’ and also accused Congress of stalling development for the past 70 years.

He added,

“The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Yogi Adityanath, has done a lot of development work for all sections of society, whether Dalit, Muslim, backward, OBC, tribals, or traders. I appeal to Muslims and Dalits in Uttar Pradesh to vote for the RPI and the BJP. They have nothing to gain by sticking with Mayawati because her downfall is consistent.
