Congress leader Milind Deora has come out in support of the CAA

The situation is very worrying in Bangladesh after the violence that started during Durga Puja. Minority Hindus are constantly being targeted there. Regarding this, Congress leader Milind Deora has come out in support of the Citizenship Amendment Act.

He has said that the increasing communal violence in Bangladesh is very worrying. CAA should be amended to protect and rehabilitate Bangladeshi Hindus fleeing religious persecution. India must reject and thwart any communal attempt to equate Indian Muslims with Bangladeshi Islamists.

At the same time, Shiv Sena MP Priyanka Chaturvedi has expressed concern over the condition of Hindus in Bangladesh. She said attacks on Durga Puja celebrations, attack on ISKCON temple, houses of Hindu minorities are being attacked in Bangladesh and not a word of concern has been heard from the Indian government.
