Congress not the same party anymore, says RPN Singh after joining BJP

RPN Singh resigned from Congress and joined BJP today. On this occasion, RPN Singh praised PM Modi-CM Yogi. At the same time, he raised questions on the Congress party. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan got RPN Singh the membership of BJP at the BJP headquarters in Delhi.

After joining BJP, RPN Singh thanked JP Nadda as well as PM Narendra Modi, Amit Shah. He said that PM Modi has done the work of nation building in a very short time. Singh also said that in UP, CM Yogi has improved the law and order situation. He further said that I come from Purvanchal, which I am proud of. The double engine government has done a lot of development work here.

RPN Singh raised questions on the thinking of Congress. He said that many people used to tell him in advance that he should go to BJP. He said that on this I would like to say that it should be late.

“For 32 years, I worked with Congress. It has changed. It is no longer the party it was. If the country is to be developed, it must be done under PM Modi. Many had been asking me to join BJP,” RPN Singh said.

“If the country is to be taken forward, I would do whatever is needed as a party worker”, he added.

“For many years, people asked me to join BJP Today I’ll say better late than never”, RPN adds .

Taking to Twitter, RPN Singh shared his resignation letter to Congress president Sonia Gandhi. “Today, at a time, we are celebrating the formation of our great Republic, I begin a new chapter in my political journey. Jai Hind,” he said in a tweet.

RPN Singh is considered a big face in Purvanchal. RPN Singh comes from the royal family of Sainthwar in Kushinagar. He has a long association with the Congress and has been a party loyalist. His father CPN Singh was also an old Congressman. RPN Singh was also the MLA of Padrauna like his father CPN Singh. After being an MLA from 1996 to 2009, RPN Singh became the 15th Lok Sabha member from Kushinagar. He was defeated by Rajesh Pandey of BJP in the 16th Lok Sabha elections.

Kunwar Ratanjit Pratap Narayan Singh (RPN Singh) is called Raja Saheb of Padrauna. He is famous by the same name. Padrauna is a very famous place where Lord Buddha had his last meal. This area comes under Kushinagar district. RPN Singh was born on 25 April 1964 in Delhi. He belongs to Kshatriya family of Kushinagar. In 2002, he married journalist Sonia Singh. Former Union Minister RPN and Sonia have three daughters. RPN father Kunwar CPN Singh was an MP from Kushinagar. He was also the Minister of State for Defense in the Indira Gandhi cabinet in 1980.
