Goa Visit: Mamata Banerjee targets BJP

Trinamool Congress President and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is on a Goa visit. During this, Mamta fiercely targeted the BJP on Friday. She told the people of Goa that ‘I have not come here to snatch your power, but I have come to help you.’ Attacking the Center, Chief Minister Banerjee said that Delhi’s Dadagiri will not work. In the presence of Banerjee, Nafisa Ali and Mrinalini Deshprabhu formally joined the Trinamool Congress today.

Mamta Banerjee said that Delhi’s Dadagiri will not work. We want the federal structure to be strong. We want to give full security to Goa to protect its culture and heritage. We want you to live with your head held high, live with pride. She said that there is no BJP who can give me character certificate on my religion. I am a proud Hindu.

She said that Bengal is a very strong state. We also want to see Goa as a strong state in future. We want to see a new dawn of Goa. Somebody was asking ‘what will Mamta ji do in Goa?’ Why not? I am Indian, I can go anywhere. You can go anywhere.’

Addressing party leaders in Goa, Mamata Banerjee said, “I believe in secularism. I believe in unity. I believe that India is our motherland. If Bengal is my motherland, then Goa is also my motherland. “
