I.N.D.I.A Bloc Opposition Rally in Arvind Kejriwal’s Support! AAP Minister Gopal Rai Calls for Protest on March 31

Uniting Against Alleged Dictatorship: Opposition's 'Maha Rally' in Delhi's Ramlila Maidan

In a bid to showcase unity and strength ahead of the Lok Sabha elections, the Opposition’s I.N.D.I.A bloc has announced a ‘Maha Rally’ scheduled to take place at New Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan on March 31. This decision comes amidst heightened tensions following the arrest of Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Minister Arvind Kejriwal in connection with a money laundering case related to an alleged liquor scam during his tenure in the Union Territory government.

Rallying Against Alleged Dictatorship

Aam Aadmi Party leader and Delhi Minister Gopal Rai, in a press conference held in the national capital, called upon the citizens of the country to join the rally at 10 am on March 31 to protest against what he described as “dictatorship.” Rai condemned the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal and accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of misusing central agencies to suppress opposition voices.

Condemnation of Central Government’s Actions

Rai expressed widespread discontent among the populace, stating that the arrest of Kejriwal has fueled anger among those who value the constitution and democratic principles. He further alleged that the central government, led by Prime Minister Modi, is employing tactics such as buying MLAs and registering false cases against those who oppose them.

Call for Nationwide Support

Emphasizing the significance of unity in the face of adversity, Gopal Rai urged not only the residents of Delhi but citizens across India who believe in the sanctity of the Constitution and democracy to converge at Ramlila Maidan on March 31 at 10 am. He reiterated that the rally aims to strengthen and broaden the resistance against what the opposition perceives as authoritarianism.
