Narmadaben Modi was 80 years old and she was the wife of PM Modi’s father Damodar Das Modi’s brother.
Treatment was going on in the hospital –
Narmadaben Modi used to live with her son in the New Ranip area of Ahmedabad. She had a corona infection, after which she was admitted to the hospital. She died at Civil Hospital, Ahmedabad. PM Modi’s brother Prahlad Modi told that his aunt Narmadaben was admitted to the civil hospital 10 days ago.
During investigation, it was found that she had become a victim of corona infection. He told that his aunt breathed his last in the hospital today.
After 3,23,144 people were infected with the corona virus in one day in the country, the number of infected people increased to 1,76,36,307 on Tuesday, while the national recovery rate has fallen to 82.54 percent.
In the updated data released by the Union Health Ministry at eight o’clock on Tuesday morning, 2,771 more people died due to infection and the death toll has increased to 1,97,894. There has been a partial decline in daily cases as compared to the last few days. The number of patients under treatment has increased to 28,82,204, which is 16.34 percent of the total infected. At the national level, the recovery rate from Covid-19 has fallen to 82.54 percent. On February 17, this rate was 97.33 percent. According to the ministry, the number of people recovering from the infection has increased to 1,45,56,209 while the death rate has fallen to 1.12 percent.
