PM Modi ‘Mann Ki Baat’

PM Modi mentioned the ancient idols of the country in Mann Ki Baat on Sunday. Talking about the idols stolen from the country, the PM said that a few years ago the idol of Lord Anjaneyaar, Hanuman ji was stolen from Vellore in Tamil Nadu. This idol of Hanuman ji was also 600-700 years old. Earlier this month, we received this in Australia, our mission has got it.

PM Narendra Modi mentions Kili Paul and Neema, who have who created ripples on social media by lip-syncing several Indian songs.

“Many idols were stolen and kept being taken out of India in the past. Sometimes in this country, at times in another, these idols were sold. It is our responsibility to bring home these idols. These idols embody a part of the soul & faith of India,” the Prime Minister also said.

“Idols, one better than the other, were always being made in various parts of the country comprising reverence, capability, skill and full of varied diversity. They were a wonderful artistic example of Indian sculpture; our faith was also connected with them.”

“Till the year 2013, nearly 13 idols had been brought back to India. But, in the last seven years, India has successfully brought back more than 200 precious idols” he adds.

India has been successful in bringing back invaluable artifacts. Since 2014, several countries have helped India bring back its idols: PM Modi.

The Prime Minister’s monthly radio broadcast ‘Mann ki Baat’ is aired on the last Sunday of every month.
