Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to go to Goa today. PM Modi will inaugurate Mopa International Airport here. Before this the Prime Minister will visit Maharashtra. PM Modi will inaugurate the first phase of Nagpur Metro in Nagpur, Maharashtra.
The Prime Minister is about to inaugurate the Mopa International Airport in Goa. This is the second airport in the state after Dabolim Airport. According to the information given by the PMO, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of this airport project on 13 November 2016 and now he is going to inaugurate it. The airport, located at Mopa in North Goa, has cost Rs 2,870 crore.

The annual capacity of the airport in the first phase is 44 lakh passengers and after the completion of the project, it will have a total capacity of one crore passengers annually. Dabolim airport has a capacity of 8.5 million passengers annually, but does not have the facility of 'cargo' (goods) transportation, while the new airport also has cargo facilities. The airport will be known as New Goa International Airport till its name is finalized by the Union Ministry of Civil Aviation.
The country will also get 3 AYUSH institutes
Apart from this, PM Modi will also address the closing session of the 9th World Ayurveda Congress here. PM is going to gift the Ayush Institute to the country. PM Modi will inaugurate the Ayush Institute of Goa as well as the Ayush Institute of Ghaziabad and Delhi through video conferencing. According to the Ministry of AYUSH, the inauguration of all the three institutes will be a major step towards expansion of infrastructure and promotion of research in the field of traditional medicine.
PM Modi will inaugurate the first phase of Nagpur Metro. During this, PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the second phase of Nagpur Metro. At the same time, he will inaugurate the first phase of Samridhi Mahamarg connecting Nagpur and Shirdi. Meanwhile, PM Modi will dedicate the newly constructed AIIMS in the city to the nation. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch railway projects worth over Rs 1,500 crore at a public function in Vidarbha city.
