Ghulam Nabi Azad on Tuesday (April 4) praised PM Modi and attacked the Congress. Azad said that I should give credit to Modi for what I did to him. He was very generous. As the leader of the opposition, I have not spared him on any issue whether it is Article 370 or CAA or Hijab issue. Some of my bills failed completely, but I must give credit to him that he behaved like a politician, did not retaliate.
In a befitting reply to his critics after Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised him, former Congress veteran Ghulam Nabi Azad said his mind has been corrupted and he should go back to kindergarten and learn the ABCs of politics. Such persons should reconsider their basic understanding of politics. He said that those who could not differentiate between Farewell speech and a regular speech, their political skills are questionable.
What did Congress say about the leaders of the G-23 group?
PM Modi had praised Ghulam Nabi Azad during his farewell from Rajya Sabha. After Azad left the Congress, many leaders of the party raised the issue of PM Modi praising him. Ghulam Nabi Azad said on the allegation that the leaders of the G-23 group of Congress are close to the BJP. If G-23 was the spokesperson of BJP, then why did the Congress make him an MP? Why has he been made MP, general secretary and office bearer? I am the only one who has formed the party, the rest are still there. This is a malicious, immature and childish allegation.
"Congress leadership has no influence on people"
He said that Nehru ji, Rajiv Gandhi, Indira Gandhi could bear this blow, they had stamina, they had the support and respect of the public and they could bounce back with their work over time. The present Congress leadership has no influence on the people.
"I have no differences with the ideology of the Congress"
Azad told news agency ANI that I do not want to expose the Congress. I may have some differences with the leadership, but I have no differences with the Congress party or the ideology of the Congress. I have no differences with the Congress ideology or the earlier Congress leadership. Of course, I have mentioned in my book what went wrong in Nehru ji's time, Indira ji's time, Rajiv ji's time, but I also said that they were great leaders.
Left the Congress and formed his own party
Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Azad had resigned from all posts including the primary membership of the Congress in August last year. In his resignation letter, he fiercely targeted Rahul Gandhi. After this, he formed his new political party in the name of Democratic Azad Party.
