Punjab: Anurag Verma becomes the New Chief Secretary of Punjab

Punjab News: Punjab’s Bhagwant Mann Government has appointed Anurag verma as the New Chief secretary. Anurag Verma has replaced VK Janjua who was scheduled to retire on June 30. Anurag Verma is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. Hailing from Punjab, Anurag Verma is a Bachelor in Electronics and Communication. He has been promoted by the AAP Government on the Senior Government Post.

The New Chief Secretary will take charge from July 1st

He will also look after the other Departments like Legal, Legislative Affairs, Industries, Commerce, Information Technology and Investment Promotion. He will be taking charge from 1st of July.
