Punjab: Sports stadium to be built in memory of farmers who lost their lives in farmers’ movement

Punjab government will now get a sports stadium constructed in the memory of the farmers who lost their lives during the farmers’ movement. This stadium will be built in village Haripur alias Rodmajra of Sri Chamkaur Sahib assembly constituency. Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Channi has announced a grant of Rs 1 crore for the construction of the sports stadium. The Chief Minister’s Office gave this information.

Earlier, in Lucknow, financial assistance was given by the Punjab government to the families of four farmers and a journalist killed in the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. Each family was given Rs 50 lakh each. These checks were given by the Punjab Government’s Agriculture Minister Randeep Singh NabhaJournalist Late Raman Kashyap’s wife Aradhana Kashyap, mother Santosh Kumari and father Ramdulare, Jaswant Kaur, wife of slain farmer Sardar Nakshatra Singh, Lovepreet Singh’s father Sardar Satnam Singh, Daljit Singh’s wife Paramjit Kaur and Gurvinder Singh’s father Sardar Sukhwinder Singh. Checks were handed over.

During this, Agriculture Minister Randeep Singh Nabha said that every effort would be made to get justice for the families of the killed farmers. Human life cannot be brought back but have come to fulfill their duty towards their dependents.
