Rahul Gandhi At Gujarat Court To Record Statement In Defamation Case Against Prime Minister Modi Surname

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has reached Surat to appear before the Magistrate Court in Gujarat today in the case of contempt. urat Chief Judicial Magistrate AN Dave had a week ago directed Rahul Gandhi to be present on June 24 to record his final statement in the contempt case filed by BJP MLA from Surat, Purnesh Modi.

BJP MLA Purnesh Modi had filed a complaint against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in April 2019 under sections 499 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. Purnesh has told in the complaint that while addressing an election rally in the year 2019, Rahul Gandhi had defamed the entire Modi community by saying that why is Modi in the name of those fleeing from India?

Surat Chief Judicial Magistrate AN Dave had issued directions to Rahul Gandhi to appear in court a week ago to record his final statement in the criminal defamation case filed by BJP MLA Purnesh Modi. After which Congress leaders have reached Surat. Before the appearance in Surat court, Rahul Gandhi has made a tweet. In which he wrote- ‘The whole secret of existence is that he should not have any fear.’

BJP MLA has accused Rahul Gandhi of making shameful remarks on the entire Modi community by saying ‘Sabhi chor ke naam mein Modi hai hai?’ while addressing an election rally during the Lok Sabha elections in 2019.
