Sachin Pilot vs Ashok Gehlot, know what’s the matter

Former Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Sachin Pilot has given a big statement regarding the post of Congress President. The election for the post of Congress President is near and the name of Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also appeared among the possible candidates for this. Sachin Pilot has told the media that no person can hold two posts in the Congress.

His supporters have been demanding for making Sachin Pilot the CM of Rajasthan for a long time. Failure to do so, he has also indicated to revolt in the party. Two years ago, due to infighting, Sachin Pilot had to leave the post of Deputy CM. Sources in the Pilot faction say that the wait of two years is about to end when Sachin Pilot will become the CM of the state. According to party leaders, Pilot will soon be seen in Congress’s Bharat Jodo Padyatra along with Rahul Gandhi.

At the same time, according to information received from Congress sources, Ashok Gehlot will make a last effort to persuade Rahul Gandhi for the election of the President, if Rahul does not agree, then Gehlot will file nomination. Sources also said that Gehlot has also put a condition that Sachin Pilot should not be made the CM if he becomes the President, but Rajasthan Assembly Speaker CP Joshi should be made the Chief Minister.

It is being told that in the past, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi had asked Ashok Gehlot to contest the election, but Gehlot refused, saying that he would persuade Rahul Gandhi for this. According to sources, apart from Gehlot, Sonia Gandhi is in favor of making senior Dalit leader Sushil Kumar Shinde the party president while Rahul Gandhi is in support of senior party leader Mallikarjun Kharge.

The names of many possible candidates are coming up for the election of Congress President. It is also informed by quoting sources that Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has also expressed his desire to contest the election of the party president. Due to this, he had met Sonia Gandhi a day earlier at 10 Janpath in Delhi. On meeting Shashi Tharoor, Sonia Gandhi had said that everyone is free to contest the election of the Speaker. At the same time, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal also met Sonia Gandhi at 10 Janpath yesterday. He had reached Delhi directly from India Jodo Yatra.

The notification for the election of Congress President will be issued tomorrow on 22nd September. The process of filing nominations will continue from September 24 to 30. The last date for withdrawal of nominations is October 8. In case of more than one candidate, the election will be held on October 17 and the results will be declared on October 19.
