Smriti Irani condemns Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Rafale gets him a ticket to the Bastille Day Parade’ remark on PM Modi

Union Minister for Women and Child Development and Minister of Minority Affairs Smriti Irani has launched a swift attack over Rahul Gandhi’s criticism of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over his silence on Manipur issue.

Rahul Gandhi had stated in his tweet that the Parliament of European Union was discussing internal matters of India and PM hasn’t uttered a word on this. “Manipur burns. EU Parliament discusses India’s internal matter. PM hasn’t said a word on either! Meanwhile, Rafale gets him a ticket to the Bastille Day Parade.”

Smriti Irani in her reply has called Gandhi a ‘frustrated dynast’ who is upset as ” defence contracts no longer land at the doorstep of dynasty.”

The matter has erupted after conclusion of PM Modi’s visit to France where he also received the Grand Cross of the Legion of Honour by French President, Emmanuel Macron.

Congress hits back

Congress leader KC Venugopal has attacked Smriti Irani and said that Prime Minister Modi is going all around athe world but he has not even spoken on the Manipur issue even for one minute. “Tell Minister Smriti Irani to make the PM speak on this issue. The PM is moving around the world but not talking even for a minute on Manipur issue,” Venugopal said.

Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate called out SmritiI Irani for remaining silent on sexaul exploitation of athletes. “A woman who doesn’t speak a word on atrocities against other women, who keeps mum on sexual exploitation of our athletes, who is conspicuously silent on back breaking high prices, a frustrated soul whose only relevance is to spew venom against Rahul Gandhi.” Supriya Shante twetted.

She further stated that Smriti Irani is failing to gather legitimacy in her own party and her level of hatred is corrosive and self damaging.
