Suvendu Adhikari and his brother booked for allegedly stealing relief material

In West Bengal, FIR (Suvendu Adhikari Booked For Stealing Relief Material) was registered against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA and Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari and his brother Somendu Adhikari at Kanthi Police Station. A case has been registered against both of them for stealing relief material from Kanthi Municipality.

According to the police, the complaint against Suvendu Adhikari and his brother was lodged by Ratandeep Manna on June 1. The complainant is a councilor of Kanthi Municipality. He has leveled theft charges against the officer brothers.

According to the complaint, on 29 May 2021, at the behest of Suvendu Adhikari and his brother, former chairman of Kanthi Municipality, Somendu Adhikari, the lock of the warehouse of the municipality was forcibly opened and taken to Tripal. Which is worth lakhs of rupees.

Apart from this, it was also alleged in the complaint that BJP leaders allegedly took help of central security forces for this theft. After the allegation of theft, TMC leaders have opened a front against BJP.
