The life of Raja Mahendra Pratap gives indomitable strength: PM Modi

Uttar Pradesh is ahead in the campaign of development today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday said this in praise of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath while laying the foundation stone of the university in the name of Jat veteran Mahendra Pratap Singh. On the occasion of foundation stone laying of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh University in Aligarh, UP city, about 150 km from the country’s capital Delhi, PM said, ‘It gives me immense satisfaction that the UP which was seen as a stumbling block in the development of the country. He is leading the big campaigns today.

He said that the country is celebrating 75 years of its independence. Today every youth of the country, who is dreaming big, who wants to achieve big goals, must know and read about King Mahendra Pratap. The life of King Mahendra Pratap gives indomitable power. He not only inspired Indians by staying in India, but he went to every corner of the world for the independence of India. He went to many countries including Afghanistan to Japan. Taking the risk of his life, he kept busy to free Mother India from the shackles.

He said, ‘As the Prime Minister of the country, today I am once again fortunate to lay the foundation stone of the university in the name of a great freedom fighter like Raja Mahendra Pratap. This is the great fortune of my life. .You came to bless on such a holy occasion. It is also powerful to see the public Janardan. King Mahendra Pratap not only fought for the independence of India but also contributed in building the foundation of India.’

King Mahendra Pratap contributed a lot in strengthening education in the country. He has contributed to many educational institutions. He had also given land for Aligarh Muslim University. The Prime Minister said on this occasion that the country is rectifying the old mistakes. He said that the absence of former CM Kalyan Singh is missing. Today is a big day for Western UP.

The PM said that the government has done a lot for small farmers. Even if there is an improvement in the insurance scheme, there is a system of three thousand pension, many such decisions are empowering the small farmers. New records have been created on MSP purchase. The problems which used to come regarding payment of sugarcane are being reduced. The PM said that Yogi ji and his entire team have worked with Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas. Now everyone’s effort is to take it further. Today, UP is discussed for big infrastructure projects and big decisions. Western Uttar Pradesh is its biggest beneficiary. .Many works are coming up in western Uttar Pradesh including the modern highway expressway in Greater Noida. Projects worth thousands of crores going on in UP will become a new basis for India’s progress in the coming times. I am happy that the same UP which was seen as a stumbling block in the development of the country is leading the big campaigns today.

Be it the campaign to build toilets, to give houses to the poor, gas and electricity connections, PM Samman Nidhi Yojana, Yogi ji’s UP has played a leading role, otherwise I remember otherwise there were obstacles in development schemes. Letters are written from the centre, but here the work was not done at that pace. Before 2017, the work was not done as it should. The people of UP cannot forget what kind of scams used to happen here earlier. The government was handed over to the corrupt. Yogi ji’s government is sincerely engaged in the development of UP. At one time, the government here was run by the arbitrariness of the administration and goons. Now those running the mafia raj are behind bars.
