New Update
Tata Tiago EV

Tata Tiago EV: Tata Motors has begun pan-Indian deliveries of the Tiago EV hatchback, with 2,000 units distributed across 133 cities. The company claims that it has received more than 20,000 orders for the Tiago EV, with the first 10,000 coming on the first day alone.

Tata stated at the launch that the Tiago EV's special pricing would only apply to the first 10,000 orders. However, as a result of the overwhelming reaction, Tata extended the introductory prices to an additional 10,000 consumers. Prices for the Tiago EV range from Rs 8.49 lakh to Rs 11.79 lakh (ex-showroom, India) presently, but are expected to increase as more and more orders are received.

There are two battery pack configurations available for the Tiago EV: 19.2kWh and 24kWh. The brand is prioritising shipments of the larger battery variations, with smaller battery variant shipments commencing at the end of February.

Tata Tiago Electric Vehicle: Current waiting times

According to dealer sources, the current waiting period for the long-range Tiago EV is four months, while the waiting period for the medium-range model is five to six months. According to dealer sources, 'Tropical Mist' and 'Teal Blue' are the most popular paint colours. The waiting period for private buyers of the Tigor EV vehicle is around one month.

In states like Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, and Madhya Pradesh, the Tiago EV is attracting customers, which is a trend that was not noticed with the Nexon EV and Tigor EV. In fact, buyers in these states are selecting the longer-range model, but this may be because of the intermittent availability of charging infrastructure in and around major cities.

Details on the Tata Tiago EV's battery, range, and engine

As previously stated, the Tiago EV is powered by Tata's Ziptron high-voltage design and is equipped with two battery packs. The smaller battery in the Tiago EV produces 61hp and 110Nm, while the larger battery produces 74hp and 114Nm.

The entry-level Tiago EV variants have a lower battery pack, giving them a MIDC range of 250 kilometres, while the higher variants have a larger battery, allowing them a MIDC range of 315 kilometres. The Tiago EV is also capable of fast charging, and both battery packs can be charged from 10% to 80% using a 50kW fast charger in 57 minutes.
