As per the officials probe has been ordered against a lekhpal, who failed to recognise Amethi MP and Union minister Smriti Irani over phone, for not discharging his duties.

It is worth mentioning that MP Smriti Irani, who visited Amethi on Friday, had called Lekhpal Deepak on the complaint of complainant Karunesh, but the Lekhpal had said that he could not recognize Irani and Chief Development Officer Ankur Lather.

Lather immediately took a phone call from the MP and asked Lekhpal Deepak to come to the office and meet him. Deepak is posted in Gautampur Gram Sabha of Musafirkhana Tehsil.
