Punjab’s New Traffic Rules: It is very important to follow the traffic rules to make the traffic safe. From the central government to the governments of all the states, they are very strict about following the traffic rules and are constantly emphasizing on tightening the rules.

Now the Punjab government has issued a new notification regarding the traffic rules, under which those who violate the traffic rules may have to serve in the hospital and donate blood along with fine. In addition, at least 20 students will have to teach traffic rules for two hours. The authorities have been instructed to take action on the basis of the new notification by the government.

Violators of traffic rules will be given options by the authorities as to what work they want to do. People can choose the option according to their convenience. After this, after completing the work which will be mentioned in the selected option, a certificate will have to be taken from the concerned authority. That is, if you choose to donate blood, then you will have to take a certificate from the hospital where you have donated blood. Only after this the documents confiscated by the police will be returned. In such a situation, if a person chooses to teach traffic rules to students, then he will have to teach traffic rules for two hours to 20 students from 9th to 12th in the nearest school and then get a certificate from the nodal officer.

Apart from this, the government has increased the challan amount from one and a half to two times for violating traffic rules. Earlier there was a fine of Rs 500 for breaking the red light, which has now been increased to Rs 1000. Apart from this, those who use alcohol and talk on mobile while driving will also have to pay a heavy fine. In the first instance, a fine of Rs 5000 and license can be suspended for 3 months, while for the second time, a fine of Rs 10,000 and license can be suspended for 3 months.
