During the operation, which took place from 11 AM to 3 PM across all 28 police districts, police teams also checked 4,236 suspicious individuals. Special DGP (Law and Order) Arpit Shukla stated that commissioners of police and SSPs were instructed to establish strong nakas, each supervised by an inspector-rank officer, in the jurisdiction of every police station. These nakas were tasked with conducting thorough checks of all motorcycles and other vehicles.

In addition to vehicle checks, police teams verified vehicle registration numbers using the Vahan mobile app. The comprehensive operation saw the establishment of 372 well-coordinated nakas, involving over 2,684 police officers, all under the supervision of inspectors and DSPs.

As part of the operation, suspicious individuals were rounded up for verification to ensure a thorough crackdown on anti-social elements.

In a related development, the Border Security Force (BSF) troops, in collaboration with Punjab Police, recovered a drone and a packet of heroin near Roranwala village, close to the India-Pakistan border. This highlights the ongoing efforts and collaboration between various security agencies to combat drug trafficking and maintain law and order in the state.

The special operation, which aims to eradicate drug-related activities and enhance public safety, will continue in the coming days with increased vigilance and coordinated efforts across the state.
