Rajasthan Ranks 2 In Crime Against Women : NCRB

The figures released by NCRB for the year 2021, which show that most women are unsafe in Rajasthan. The cases of rape of women brought Rajasthan to the first place, which shames the culture and traditions of Rajasthan.

Rajasthan has also left behind MP, UP and Assam in rape cases. Rape cases in Rajasthan in the year 2021 are high even after joining the three states of the country.

By this Rajasthan stood second in crime against women in 2021, for the third consecutive year.

In terms of rape cases, Rajasthan topped the figures in 2020. Since then, the crime graph regarding rape and violence against women is increasing. From January 2020 to April 2022, 13 thousand 890 cases of rape have been registered in the state. In 11,307 of these cases, the criminals made minor girls their victims. In the last two years, 170 girls below the age of 12 were raped.

Highest number of rape cases registered in Rajasthan

A total of 6 thousand 337 rape cases were registered in Rajasthan in the year 2021, which is about 1 thousand more than the year 2020. According to the report, Rajasthan recorded the maximum number of rape cases in 2020 and 2021. Madhya Pradesh ranks second in rape cases after Rajasthan. In the year 2021, the highest number of cases were registered in Maharashtra, UP and Assam after Rajasthan, MP. According to NCRB, 2 thousand 845 rape cases were registered in UP. At the same time, 2 thousand 496 rape cases have been registered in Maharashtra. In Assam, 1733 women while in Delhi 1250 women have filed rape reports.

In fact, the Rajasthan government has also made a policy, which clearly states that if the case is not registered in the police station, then the victim should contact the SP office and meet the officials, a case can also be filed through the SP office. In such a situation, action would also be taken against the station in charge who filed the case. Rajasthan Police says that the figures have increased due to the registration of every single case without investigation. However, according to the data released by the Rajasthan Police, 48 percent of the cases registered from January to July were found to be false after investigation.
