The second phase of India's covid-19 vaccination drive is in its full swing with politicians as well as celebs actively participating in the immunisation programme. On Thursday, filmmaker and former actor Rakesh Rohan, too, joined the bandwagon as he received his first dose of covid-19 vaccine. Roshan shared the information himself as he took to Twitter to post a picture of himself getting vaccinated by a medical expert. The picture showed him signaling thumbs up as he was all grinning while being administered the vaccine dose. As he shared his pic, he also urged his eligible followers to go ahead and take the vaccine shot.

"First dose of Covishield taken, go ahead." The same photo was shared on Instagram alongside a caption reading, "Unique day once in our lifetime 4321, 4th March 21 to get vaccinated GO AHEAD."

Not just him, but also his wife and actor Hrithik Roshan's mother Pinkie Roshan took to her Instagram profile and shared, "Covieshield vaccine taken...it's better to shield than to expose."
