Such is the case of Prem Gupta and his daughter, Sakshi Gupta, residents of Kumar Toli, Kailash Nagar, Ranchi.
Prem Gupta made a public spectacle of bringing his daughter, Sakshi, back from her in-laws’ house amidst drumbeats and celebrations. The root of this situation lies in Sakshi’s marriage to Sachin Kumar, a resident of Sarveshwari Nagar, Bajra, who works as an assistant engineer at the Jharkhand Electricity Distribution Corporation.
From grand affair to painful ordeal:
The marriage, which took place on April 28, 2022, was initially a grand affair but eventually turned into a painful ordeal as the man they had welcomed as their son-in-law turned out to be a fraud.
Prem Gupta revealed that his daughter’s wedding was an extravagant event that cost lakhs of rupees. However, it was later revealed that the groom had not only been married once before but twice, and Sakshi became his third wife. Presently, this man lives separately in a rented house in Bajra, apart from his parents.

Upon finding this, Prem Gupta and his family promptly initiated divorce proceedings in court. He emphasized that his daughter bore no blame in this situation; it was the groom who had deceived them. Prem Gupta expressed no regrets about swiftly ending this deceitful relationship, believing it to be better to break ties with someone so utterly untrustworthy.
