Renault crosses the 10 Lakh vehicle production milestone, all you must know

Renault: In India, the production of Renault, one of the biggest automakers, has surpassed one million units. The Kwid, Kiger, and Triber are the three passenger vehicle models sold by Renault in this nation.

Renault crosses the 10 Lakh vehicle production milestone

Mamillapalle at the factory formally flagged off the manufacturing line’s 100,000th rollout, which was a red-coloured KIGER. In order to build a production infrastructure that meets the greatest requirements for quality and efficiency, the company has made significant investments in manufacturing, technology, and personnel.

4,80,000 units can be produced annually by the company. The BS6 Phase II certified Kiger and Triber AMT started being delivered by Renault earlier this month. These vehicles cost, respectively, Rs. 8.12 lakh and Rs. 8.47 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Over 450 sales centres and 530 service centres make up the company’s nationwide network. As part of the Center’s ‘Make in India’ initiative, the company hopes to attain 90% localisation in its newest vehicles.

What did the company say?

”We have nine lakh customers totally across India… Yesterday, we reached a key milestone. We rolled out the one-millionth vehicles at the plant…,” Renault India Operations Country CEO and Managing Director Venkatram Mamillapalle told reporters.

The RTX (O) version of Kiger was recently released by the business. Its ex-showroom starting price is Rs. 7.99 lakh. This Renault Kiger model boasts a wireless 8.0-inch touchscreen, LED headlights and taillights, and 16-inch alloy wheels. Additionally, several brand-new security measures have been included. It has options for 1.0L turbo and 1.0L Energy petrol engines. According to the company, it can provide 20.62 km per gallon of fuel. By 2030, the corporation claims to have switched 90% of its vehicles over to electric power. Additionally, 10 new electric vehicles are scheduled to be released by 2025.
