Engine and performance

The new BS6-compliant engine in the interceptor has not changed mechanically. Power has hardly decreased by 0.2PS and is currently rated at 47.45PS. The engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission, an assist clutch, and a slipper clutch. The maximum torque remains constant at 52 Nm. The 648cc parallel twin air-cooled motor is tuned even when travelling at triple-digit highway speeds because of the counterbalance.

The same engine is used for the Super meteor. However, it only produces 47PS and 52.3Nm.

Features

Basic features including a taillight, indicators, and halogen headlight are included with the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.
