In the presidential election, there is a contest between NDA candidate Draupadi Murmu and opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha. A day before the voting, the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha had said that listen to your conscience and vote for me.

In the meeting of NDA MPs, Draupadi Murmu claimed that the tribal fraternity was happy with her candidature and said that whatever has to be done within the ambit of the Constitution.

Voting for the Presidential election will be held between 10 am and 5 pm in the Parliament House and state legislatures. Counting of votes will take place on July 21, while the next President of the country will take oath on July 25. The term of the current President Ram Nath Kovind ends on July 24.

Gujarat NCP MLA Kandhal S Jadeja says he has voted for NDA's presidential candidate Draupadi Murmu. Also Sharad Pawar's party NCP has decided to vote for the opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha in the presidential election.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar after casting his vote for the Presidential election said, "Votes are being cast in all the states and in Parliament. More than half the votes have been cast. The math of votes of NDA and opposition is in front of everyone, I believe that Draupadi Murmu will win. This time I expect that we will get more votes than our numbers."
