Rashmika Mandanna recently spoke about the emotional pressure she faces due to constant trolling and negative PR. In a candid chat on Snap With Stars, the actress shared how staying kind has become difficult in a world where people often misunderstand or mock genuine behaviour.
Over the years, Rashmika has been making headlines not only for her work but also for personal reasons like a rumoured relationship with Vijay Deverakonda, a broken engagement, and her film choices. According to the actress, she has faced a lot of judgment. But instead of reacting harshly, she says she’s always chosen kindness.
Rashmika Mandanna On Being Targeted For Being Kind
The Chhaava actress said, “I know that I am a very emotional person and a very real person. At the same time, I can’t really show it out because people think kindness is fake, kindness is weakness… they say she’s doing it for the cameras. The more real you are, the more unacceptable it becomes.”
She added, “Being kind doesn’t get me anything. It’s just something I choose to do.”
Rashmika also calls herself a victim of online negativity. She said, “I’ve dealt with a lot of negative PR and trolling.”
She believes people should stop bringing others down just to succeed. “If you can’t be kind, then just don’t say anything. Let people breathe. Why do you have to suffocate people? Why do you have to strangle people to grow? No, let all of us grow. It’s fine. The world’s so big, there’s room for all of us.”
Talking about her emotional journey, Rashmika shared how the cycle of healing never really ends for her. “I feel like I’m in this loop of constantly healing through negativity, and then something happens again.”

She was last seen as Maharani Yesubai in Chhaava with Vicky Kaushal and starred in Sikandar with Salman Khan. She also featured in Kuberaa, a bilingual film with Dhanush and Nagarjuna.
Her upcoming projects include the Telugu film The Girlfriend and Maddock’s thriller film Thama, where she stars with Ayushmann Khurrana. Reportedly, she is also a part of Cocktail 2 opposite Shahid Kapoor.
