Stock Market Today: GIFT Nifty on the NSE IX down 9 points, to 19,131, indicating that Dalal Street will likely have a quiet start to the day. On the daily chart, the Nifty finished the day 61 points lower, forming a bearish candle that suggests further weakening from the current levels. Wall Street’s primary indexes finished Tuesday’s trading day higher as traders processed a mixed bag of earnings reports and turned their attention to the Federal Reserve’s monetary policy announcement.

Rupee goes up; Tokyo stocks opened higher

Despite sluggish domestic equities markets and ongoing outflows of foreign funds dampening investor morale, the rupee remained range-bound and ended Tuesday’s trading session 2 paise higher at 83.24 against the US dollar. Following advances on Wall Street and a weakening yen, Tokyo equities surged at the opening bell on Wednesday.The larger Topix index increased 1.88 percent, or 42.47 points, at 2,296.19, while the benchmark Nikkei index jumped 1.95 percent, or 601.04 points, to 31,459.89 in early trade.

Stock Market Today: Larsen & Toubro Q2 net profit climbed 45 percent

According to the financial data released by the business on October 31, Larsen & Toubro (L&T) saw a 45 percent year-over-year increase in net profit during the second quarter of its fiscal year 2023–24, reaching Rs 3,223 crore. In Q2FY24, L&T saw a 19% increase in consolidated revenue to Rs 51,024 crore, up from Rs 42,763 crore recorded in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year. Sustained growth momentum in the IT and ITeS portfolio and execution tailwinds in the infrastructure projects segment drove higher-than-expected revenue growth.
