Stock Market Update: Amid weak global cues, the domestic stock market is witnessing a sell-off today on 23rd August; Both Sensex and Nifty indices have weakened in today's trading. If the Sensex has fallen more than 350 points, then the Nifty has also come down to 17400.
Today, most of the sectors in the business are under pressure. IT stocks are the biggest losers and Nifty IT index has weakened 2 percent. Banks, financial, FMCG and realty indices are also seen in the red mark.
Auto and metal indices are in the green. At present, the Sensex is down by 356 points and is trading at the level of 58418.
Whereas Nifty is trading at the level of 17397 after breaking 93 points. Heavyweight stocks are selling; Shares of Sensex 30 are seen in red mark. INFY, TECHM, HCLTECH, WIPRO, INDUSINDBK, TCS are included in the top losers.
Power generation company NTPC has announced the first part capacity of 10 MW out of 20 MW Gandhar Solar PV project at Gandhar, Gujarat on commercial operation.
With this, the standalone installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will be 55099 MW, while the group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will be 69464 MW.
