The Japanese company that makes bikes has said that these EVs will be better for commuting than two-wheelers that are designed for speed. So, we can expect the same kind of performance and range as the Bajaj Chetak.
Suzuki has both electric scooters and electric motorcycles in its line of EVs. In this case, you can expect Suzuki to make an electric motorcycle based on the Gixxer. Aside from this, the brand plans to release eight electric two-wheelers by 2030, including the Burgman Electric, which will make up 25% of its total two-wheeler line-up around the world.
Suzuki said that instead of electric performance bikes and scooters, it will be working on carbon-neutral fuel-powered performance bikes and scooters. This could also include two-wheelers that can use different kinds of fuel.
Lastly, Suzuki plans to be carbon neutral in Japan, Europe, and India by 2050, and 2070, respectively.
The Hero Vida V1, Ola S1, Ather 450 Plus, TVS iQube, and Bajaj Chetak will all compete with the Suzuki Burgman. The Honda Activa Electric, which is set to come out in March 2024, will also be a competitor.
