Tata Altroz Diesel

Tata Altroz Diesel: In India, diesel engines are gradually being phased out in practically all vehicle classes, including hatchbacks, small SUVs, and premium SUVs. Several automakers, including Tata Motors, Hyundai, and Maruti Suzuki, are enhancing their CNG offerings. According to the managing director of Tata Motors PV and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Shailesh Chandra, the corporation will replace diesel with the CNG segment.

Tata Altroz Diesel variant to be phased out?

According to a media report, Tata's revised BS6 Stage II diesel engine passed with a very narrow margin. As a result, it will probably be removed from the diesel Altroz. In the next stage of the rules, there is a genuine chance that it may become obsolete. According to Shailesh Chandra, the business profited when rival companies in the luxury hatchback and small SUV markets decided against using diesel engines.

Tata to Welcome CNG Powertrains

Following the recent release of the Altroz CNG, Tata Motors will also release a CNG version of the Punch, and the Nexon is probably going to get a CNG powertrain as well. In August 2023, Nexon's facelifted version is anticipated to be released. Its CNG variant may possibly be introduced simultaneously. Although it's unlikely that Harrier CNG and Safari CNG will arrive.
