Tata Punch EV: The all-electric Punch EV has at last been unveiled by Tata Motors. Following the Tiago EV, Tigor EV, and Nexon EV, this is the Indian brand’s fourth electric vehicle. There are two powertrain options and five wide trims available for the all-electric micro-SUV: Smart, Smart +, Adventure, Empowered, and Empowered +. It has unique stylistic aspects compared to its ICE brother. Prices are anticipated to be released in the upcoming weeks, and reservations for the micro-SUV are now being accepted. Powertrain details
Medium Range and Long Range battery pack options are available for the Punch EV’s drivetrain. For charging, the latter comes with a 7.2kW DC fast charger option, while the former can only be charged with a 3.3kW charger.
Features onboard
The Punch EV boasts fresh features such as a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, an automatic parking brake with auto hold, and a blind view monitor in addition to a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Features like the sunroof, keyless entry with push-button start/stop, automated climate control, wireless phone charging, and Harman sound system have all been retained.
The Punch EV has six airbags, cruise control, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, an electronic parking brake with auto hold, and a 360-degree camera with parking sensors as standard safety features.
Expected price and rivals
The Tata Punch EV is expected to go on sale later this month at a starting price of Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with vehicles such as the Citroen eC3.
