Tata slashes Nexon EV price by upto Rs 85000, will give Mahindra XUV 400 EV tough competition, all details here

Tata: The most popular electric passenger car in the nation is the Tata Nexon EV. But that is because it hasn’t faced a serious challenger yet. Mahindra introduced the XUV400 electric on January 16, 2023, making it the country’s first legitimate Tata Nexon EV rival. Tata Motors has revised its Nexon EV range two days after the debut of the direct competitor Mahindra XUV400 Electric SUV. In order to compete with the recently released Mahindra XUV400 Electric, Tata Motors has lowered the price of the Nexon EV by up to Rs 85,000 and expanded the range of the Nexon EV Max from 437 km to 453 km.

all about Tata Price cut

Three variations of the Tata Nexon EV Prime are available: XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux. A 30.2 kWh battery pack and a 3.3 kW charger are included with these. Starting at Rs 14.49 lakh, the highest price is Rs 16.99 lakh, ex-sh. Prices for both the base Nexon EV and the top model have been reduced by Rs 50k and Rs 85k, respectively.

With regard to Nexon EV Max, it is available in the same three options as EV Prime but has a larger 40.5 kW battery pack and a choice of a 3.3 kW or 7.2 kW charger. The price range for the Nexon EV Max with a 3.3 kW battery pack is between Rs 16.49 and Rs 18.49 lakh, while the range for trims with a 7.2 kW charger is between Rs 16.99 and Rs 18.99 lakh.

According to Tata motors,

“With insights gathered on driving and usage patterns, the range of the Nexon EV MAX variants have been enhanced to 453* km (MIDC), from January 25, 2023, onwards. This range enhancement will be offered to current Nexon EV MAX owners through a software upgrade, at dealerships, from February 15, 2023.”

The Tata Nexon EV Max shares the same exterior appearance and proportions as the ordinary Nexon in terms of design and amenities. It stands out because to the “Max” badging. The cabin’s layout remains the same, but a new central console with a rotary dial and display unit for modes and other features, as well as a jewelled control knob with an active mode display, is added.

Three driving modes are available for the Tata Nexon EV MAX: Eco, City, and Sport. The ZConnect App, which offers up to 48 connected car functions for better drive analytics and diagnostics, has now upgraded to ZConnect 2.0. The Nexon EV MAX’s feature set also includes smartwatch integration, auto/manual DTC check, the limit of charge, and monthly vehicle report.

Ziptron technology, which uses high voltage, is what powers Nexon EV MAX. It receives an updated 40.5 kWh Lithium-ion battery pack with a claimed ARAI range of 453 kilometres, 143 hp power, 250 Nm torque, and a 33 per cent larger battery capacity. The time needed to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h is less than 9 seconds.
